Kyla Ernst-Alper

Kyla began her dance training at the Brattleboro School of Dance, and began her professional career at the age of sixteen with Eliot Feld’s Ballet Tech. She has since performed with numerous dance and circus companies on stages in over 15 countries – her credits include Elisa Monte Dance, Battery Dance Company, Indelible Dance, Encounters, Cirque de India, American Circus Theatre, Variety Life Production, Torture Garden, and Londen Reign Showclub. Kyla is currently a resident performer at The Stranger, The Box, and The Slipper Room, where she also co-produces and performs in The Underground Cabaret. She has had the honor of performing with Alicia Keys, Brian Newman and his band, and Karsh Kale. Kyla has extensive experience as an immersive performer as well as in full length and variety shows, site specific productions, showclubs, concerts, television and commercials, and special events.

In addition to performing and choreographing, Kyla has produced numerous performance projects, many of them site specific, immersive, and interactive. Kyla was the aerial consultant and choreographer for the 2021 Esteé Lauder Supreme campaign starring Ana de Armas, Carolyn Murphy, and Adut Akech. In 2021 Kyla created Anver Entertainment and partnered with Acadia Realty Trust to provide a free 8-month training and creative residency program for furloughed professional circus artists in Downtown Brooklyn during the pandemic.
