Weekend Immersion: Aerial Hoop
With Jenna Ciotta
Roll, snake and sneak your way around the hoop / lyra with transitions between belly and back, top and bottom bar and inside and outside the circle. We’ll work on combinations and also develop the theoretical tools necessary to make your own combinations smoother and more seamless. While spin can always be a part of your flow and play, this workshop is designed to be friendly for the spin-intolerant folks, too.
Prerequisites
Students should have a current and regular hoop / lyra practice, and be comfortable mounting the lyra from pull over or straddle mount, do a one knee hang on at least one side, hold a front balance without hands and invert from sitting to a hang on the top bar with ease.
