Renee Kent

Renee Kent is the Director of Rhode Island Circus Space and a dedicated advocate for the growth of circus arts in Rhode Island. Since discovering aerial arts as an adult, she has been passionate about making circus training accessible to people of all backgrounds. She has a knack for introducing adults to aerial arts, helping them build strength, confidence, and a sense of play—often inspiring them to stick with it long-term.

As an instructor since 2017, Renee specializes in developing students’ strength, flexibility, and endurance, fostering both athleticism and artistry. She is a certified personal trainer (NASM) and aerial arts instructor with experience in fabric, lyra, dance trapeze, and partner acrobatics. She has trained with coaches across New England and is committed to continuous learning and collaboration in the circus community.

As a leader, Renee is committed to expanding opportunities for students, instructors, and performers by building connections within the circus community, supporting professional development, and creating space for collaboration and shared growth.

Renee lives with her husband, their two children—both active in circus—and their dog, Lily. Seeing her own children grow within the circus world makes her work even more personal and meaningful, reinforcing her dedication to the community.
