Does it Trapeze?

With Becca DeAngelis

Let’s take skills from other apparatuses and find out “do they trapeze?” And if not, how can we make a similar skill succeed. Using dance trapezes and double-point trapezes, this workshop is a creative and interactive space and we love it when you bring your ideas to the table. We’ll start with a few ideas and see where our explorations take us!

About the Coaches

Becca DeAngelis fell in love with trapeze at 8 years old while attending a circus camp. At age 9, they were put to work demo-ing skills to other campers and students. By 11, they were teaching skills under the tutelage of their trapeze instructor.

Over the years, their repertoire has grown to include teaching: trapeze, lyra, silks, Spanish web, straps, hammock, and cube. Their specialties include strength moves, slowing down dynamic sequences, and reverse-engineering skills.

Becca particularly enjoys adapting skills from one apparatus to another. It is their pleasure to open people’s minds to the experience of all things aerial.
