Michelle Mazzarella
Michelle wears many hats as a choreographer, circus artist, dancer, and teacher. She began her dance career at age two, and obtained her Bachelors Degrees in Psychology and Dance from UCLA. She spent her free time working in various roles around Los Angeles onstage, backstage, and on-screen, and teaching at various studios in the area.
After graduating from university, Michelle moved to Traverse City, MI, where she began teaching and choreographing full-time. She discovered aerial arts in 2018 because she needed a hobby, and has since relocated to Brattleboro to study in the ProTrack Program at NECCA, where she specializes in Aerial Fabric, Sling, Flying Trapeze, and Cyr Wheel. Michelle also teaches dance locally, and coaches various apparatus for youth and adults in NECCA’s recreational programs and Youth Troupe.
As a performer, Michelle has been described as versatile, authentic, prepared, and present. As a choreographer, she takes joy in inspiring her audiences and performers alike, and is a dedicated team player with a strong foundation in choreographing a variety of genres for both stage and screen. As an educator, Michelle encourages her students to discover their potential by challenging themselves, all while cultivating a safe and supportive learning environment.
